Native Opteron and nfsd

Has anyone got nfs running between native Opteron FC2 and Redhat 9.0 x86? I have disabled the firewall, selinux, and added my client to tcpwrappers but I still get a permission denied when trying to access a '/server    *(rw)' defined share.
Samba started working after I disabled selinux but I don't want to restart selinux until after smb,nfs, and netatalk are working.
