I need help debugging a random lockup

How hot is the air coming out of the case?  What are the CPU temperatures?

Try turning off the nvidia drivers and use the xfree86 nv driver (2d only)
and see if the freezes go away.

What kind of disks do you have?  IDE? SATA? SCSI?  Controller?
