RE: kick start in rescue mode doesnot set the network settings



I tried using ksdevice=eth0 and ip=dhcp option but that did not help me.

 

I think the ksdevice and ip=dhcp options are required only when we are having network installation, but I am using install from cdrom.

I never include the network statement in the kickstart file I use, and

instead append ksdevice= and ip=dhcp on the kernel cmdline. Because I

use a PXE environment, I set ksdevice=bootif and ipappend 2 in the

pxelinux.cfg. Does that help?
