I'd like to have the option in the UI at least, but given the timeframes
for F18 at this point, I don't think we want to get too fancy in poking
the storage code.

We accepted the bug for this issue as NTH at today's review meeting:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=856456

so this can go into F18...but please keep it a relatively
straightforward change for F18 :) I think anything tricky related to
this should be held for F19, for F18 we should just make simple changes,
even if they're not optimal - so no tricky 'if this then that but on the
other hand if THIS then THAT and change it later' stuff.
