Fedora Core 3 and Promise TX 2000

Rob,

please send me your Promise metadata so that I can investigate
this one.

Procedure:

o figure out the drive sizes in sectors (e.g. from "fdisk -l -u" or hdparm)
  and store them in files hd[egh].size.

o dd the last 256 sectors off each drive useing the drive size from step 1
  (e.g. "dd if=/dev/hde of=hde.dat bs=512 skip='DriveSize - 256'")
  

tar all hd[egh].{dat,size} files up in Rob_Hall-pdc.tar, bzip2 the tarball
and send it to me in private email.
