Fasttrak raid 0

Where should the metadata be on the drives in FastTrak raid 0?  I'm 
asking because I've heard it should be in the last 265 sectors of each 
drive in the array, but mine lies in 234374049 to 234374055 on a disk 
sized 234375000 sectors, so dmraid doesn't detect the raid.  I'm 
wondering if I could:
echo "0 234374055 linear /dev/sdX 0" | dmsetup create hdX
X=[a,b]
and then run dmraid, so that it will pick up hda and hdb and raid them?
