In attach you can find the code I writed (1 week ago) to read a disk
partition table... usage is simple (as root):

read_part /dev/hdX

It prints the same as:

fdisk -l /dev/hdX

To compile you need linux kernel headers and:

gcc -o read_part read_part.c
