Intel ICH9R Raid5 supported?

Nope.  The Intel Matrix RAID Option ROM simply creates/modifies metadata on the disks; it's up to an OS level utility [dmraid] to rebuild a set.

Hopefully by the time you would need to rebuild, dmraid will support it!  At least, I hope so!
