I've:
- hg pulled and updated augeas to get your latest patches
- make distclean
- run autogen.sh (which ran configure)
- make

And I still have:

   AUGEAS_LENS_LIB
        colon separated list of directories with lenses,
        defaults to NONE/share/augeas/lenses


:-( Did I miss something ?
