#26: ownership/mode of files gets altered
---------------------+------------------------------------------------------
Reporter: mfo | Owner: lutter
Type: defect | Status: reopened
Priority: major | Milestone: next
Component: Augeas | Version: 0.3.1
Resolution: | Keywords: ownership mode selinux

Comment (by lutter):
It seems to me that that is a build problem, assuming that you are using
the RPM from Fedora or EPEL.
What happens is that the specfile is missing a dependency on libselinux-
devel, so that at build time Augeas is configured without SELinux support,
and it never attempts to carry the SELinux context over.
I can reproduce the above problem with the augeas-0.3.6 RPM on F10, but
when I build from the release-0.3.6 tag in git on my dev system, the exact
same test passes. I'll fix that in the next release (0.4.2) by fixing the
specfile.
