Comment:

 Fixed in commit c17cd53d with a patch from mdbooth. I prefer that patch
 over the one attached to this ticket since it makes it more likely that
 other places where we might get an invalid dict->used are fixed as well,
 and the use of bitfields was always a bit of premature optimization,
 anyway.
