Comment:

 This is the same for all lenses in Augeas - ordering of the tree is
 important.

 Exactly the same bug [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=868822
 was reported against Fedora] a while back, where David suggested it may be
 possible to add something to fix this particular case, but it would be a
 lot of effort (given that ordering matters everywhere else).
