 On a fresh install of CentOS 5 i386, augeas installed, ssh root login with
 password auth is possible.

 augtool>
 [root at localhost ~]# mkdir /.ssh
 [root at localhost ~]# touch /.ssh/authorized_keys
 [root at localhost ~]# usermod -d / root
 [root at localhost ~]# augtool
 augtool>
 }}}

 hmmm, logout and login again, not sure why and when it is necessary.
 and now
