Thanks for the response.

I'm actually working with Scientific Linux V[56] and wanted to see how
augeas works.

I guess I had some form of RPM blip 'cause now the problem's been fixed.
Damn binary elves got to me again. ;)

I'm going to shutup now and go back to what I started.
