The current rsync SRPM from Core 2 updates builds fine on 7.2. Can't
say I've tested it heavily, but I have used it recently. I popped a
copy up at:
ftp://ftp.maths.monash.edu.au/pub/carmen/7.2/

Might be of some use to somebody.
