There is no downloadable ISO images or installable Fedora Core OS
for ia64, however as mentioned previously a few times in this
thread, we build all rpms on all 7 architectures always, and the
binary rpms that result, are all available for download from our
ftp site.

The likelyhood of the whole set of rpms being in any state of
being successfully installed as an entire OS however is
incredibly small I believe. The only 2 architectures that we
officially polish for Fedora Core currently, are x86 and x86_64.
Additionally there is a fair bit of internal volunteer effort to
get PPC in shape, and I postulate that a future Fedora Core
release may add PPC to the 'official' port list perhaps. That's
not a guarantee however, but there seems to be enough of both
external and internal interest in a PPC/Mac useable port, and
there seems to be an increasing number of Red Hatters buying PPC
hardware, so I wouldn't be surprised to see FC4 or FC5 PPC be
official.

If there are enough people out there using ia64 who would like to
put together an unofficial ia64 port of Fedora, that would be
more than welcome of course. That's part of the reason Fedora
Core exists afterall, to encourage community involvement. If
someone is motivated to whip up an ia64 port, might I suggest
naming it one of the following:

	Itanicore
	Insanium Core

;o)

Of course, people are equally encouraged and more than welcome to
initiate unofficial ports for PPC64, s390, s390x also if desired,
or even to other architectures we don't build for internally,
such as sparc/sparc64/arm/mipsel/mipseb/hppa/vax/whatever ;o)

Fedora seems to be growing fairly nicely right now, so I wouldn't
be surprised to see ports to various architectures spring up over
the next year or so.

Hopefully the work we do internally at Red Hat, on the 7
architectures we currently build on, will help people to get the
full OS up and running on whatever CPU family they are interested
in.

Take care,
TTYL
