Largest IDE hard drive supported by internal connector

I got a PWS500au(MiataGL), I put one 120G Maxtor HD via IDE, works
perfectly, cool; replace its CDROM with a CD-R/W, fine, but I can't
boot from CDROM anymore.
Just some extra info to share.
