AS800 Alpha Core install issue

Hi All

Have taken a look at the archive and noticed that Jay has indicated that 
he has successfully installed Alpha Core 0.9 on an AS800.

I have tried the install only to have the system hang at the following line:

Serial: 8250/16550 driver etc.

Any body have any idea's why?

My system config is:

EV56/533
512MB RAM
SRM Console firmware 5.8-16
Permedia 3 video card
KZPSA 

This config has worked fin with RH 7.2 AXP.
