Help needed for install on 164SX

you might check the .ROM file in this directory:
http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/archive/pc164sx/
and see if it, or the one you specified is newer.

Obviously, use the most modern one.

I think the "current" SRM for the SX supports Adaptec, but It's been a long
time since it's been discussed.

FWUPATE.EXE never worked for me. What did work was
fetching the appropriate .rom file - I took it off of
http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/archive/alphapc164sx/


Hope this gets you working - you just put it on the
diskette (may even work on a CD-RW, I think).
