Ram questions

  Well, So much for the HP D6114A. I didn't with it. somedays I hate
dialup. I hope the guy gets a bad module.  So, I'm down to two lots of
the compaq 228471-001 or micron MT36LD3272G-5X. I really didn't know if
the HP stuff would work or not. I don't know if the compaq stuff will
work either. And the most joyous part is I called HP and asked. As usual
when you ask HP a technical question for actual specifications, they
become a drooling retard in the corner poking themselves in the eye with
a fork.  That always makes me really angry.  I could understand not
having info about the compaq part.sure. but an HP number? I really begin
to wonder if there is a way to get a straight answer out of HP.  I wish
they had a parts system as good as John Deere's.

 With any luck micron will be able to tell me something useful about their
part number.  Those other DIMMs I tried are for something by sun called
"AXI" or "AXE"  I've got 512 meg of ram for one I'll trade for stuff I
need. (something tells me I can't shoehorn all that ram into my SS5.

  So, I'm still looking to find useful answers about that compaq part
number. HP is very lucky they don't have a call center here. I'd end up
beating someone with a tire iron.
