I've used one of those in my DS10 running Red Hat 7.2 through to
Alpha Core 2, with a side trip into CentOS, and it's been great and
well supported. I even believe 3D acceleration is now working again
in Alpha Core for the first time since 0.9.
I'm _almost certain_ I dropped my Radeon into my 164LX board at least
once while testing things ages ago, and had no issues there either,
but you may want to wait to hear from someone who knows for sure. I
think you'll be fine though.
Funny thing is, that since I killed it (while experimenting with re-
flashing the ROM) I've gone back to using a Matrox Millenium. I know
what you mean about sluggish. :) I really much grab another Radeon soon.
