in the case of my alphapc the case is even more complicated, i am unsure 
about the other alphas.
the tach signal isn't like the one from a pc, so those fans cannot be used.
but fortunately i have a dummy that gives the mainboard the signal it 
expects.
and i can attach a pc fan.
