lots of questions

Well, speaking of other lists I both subscribed to and later mailed the owner of the Tru64 list. Never heard from either.

  BTW, Thanks JMD.

I also found a good source for drives. Compgeeks has 9s for six bucks. Hopefully y'all don't have 'em bought out before Dan orders some...

In other news I may have located a 128 meg PCI Radeon.

We don't have a working SGEC (Second-Generation Ethernet Controller)
driver yet, so you won't be able to use this machine with Linux unless you
can hack up a TURBOchannel configuration with a PMAD-A card. You are
welcome to fix the SGEC driver though. :) The Linux tree is hosted at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jbglaw/vax-linux.git -- not
terribly up to date compared to Linus's tree (complaints to JBG ;) ), but
still a good starting point. This is what I've been using for the
userland porting effort.

If you'd like to get involved anyhow, then please subscribe to the
VAX/Linux mailing list. I'll see if I am able to make this mailing list's
archive available somehow -- if all else fails, I can recreate one
anywhere from my personal e-mail archives.

  Maciej
