kernel do not detected IDE from AlphaPC 164SX

Hi friends,
FedoraCore Alpha kernel do not detected IDE from AlphaPC 164SX
This is an a problem of FedoraCore project for a long time.
(Gentoo or vanilla kernel do not have that problems)
So I cant use any IDE devices to install FedoraCore to that
machine.
If anybody wish to fix it, I can send any information needed.
