Dave is right, of course. But "apropos cd" doesn't find it. I did a makewhatis twice, the second time with the -w switch. I even did "apropos cdp" and all I got was cdparanoia. The man page is in /usr/share/man/man1/cdp.1.gz. The makewhatis man page says it will have trouble with non-standard troff macros, but I wouldn't recognize such... Lee
