The z command prints an entire screen's worth of lines and let's say want 
to continue reading after that screen hit the + command once then hit z 
again each followed by the enter key.  The + command moves line number up 
by 1 and the - or minus command moves one line back up the file.  The z -r 
parameter on the command line when opening up a file makes the file read 
only so you get some protection using that when needed.
