Elba list and questions

Like several others here I'm noticing a distinct lack of response from
the elba discussion list. I received the usual confirmation of my
message last week but haven't seen a single item on the list.
I'll ask the same questions here ... it's only technically "on topic"
since the beast runs linux underneath but I acknowledge there's a
better list ... if it works. Oh, the list owner hasn't responded
either.

Here's my questions:
1) I ordered, I hope, both English and French for the machine. I
assumed this would cover both speech synthesis and braille. But I
don't see language options in the braille set-up. Can I enter and
read Grade II braille in more than one language?
If not, I would like to change this from French to English since I can
scarcely read French grade II yet anyway. If necessary, is this
possible at the user level or do I need help from Papenmeier and/or
the local distributor? I also would not mind changing the language
of interaction from French to English. I'm used to calling this the
"locale" and know how to set it on other distributions of linux but it
didn't seem to work here.
2) USB keys? I didn't see these in the manual as among the supported
mass storage options. They are my preferred option though. Are they
supported?
3) Wireless. I'm guessing the version of the manual I have is not
up-to-date. Does anyone know a list of currently made and supported
wireless cards?
4) USB ADSL modems. This is very unlikely. I note pppoe is supported
but how about devices like the eagle-usb-based modems often supplied
with ADSL accounts, at least in France. I've only just got these to
work on my normal linux box so am not optimistic here.
5) Site for updates. When I boot up my machine says
elba rev 123
my manual is for 1.41 and people are talking about a more recent
update. I couldn't find this on the papenmeier site and the manual
wasn't forthcoming about *where* one found these.
Again, apologies for the marginal topic-group match and people should
perhaps reply to me off-line.
regards
Peter
