Is it possible to make dialog more accessible?

Hello,

Just for info, not sure it will answer your expectation. 

The dialog software has been rewritten for our needs (in PHP).
The user interface has been changed so that some dialog based
softwares (knoppix installer, pppconfig,..) are better rendered under
Emacspeak or Yasr.

All the features of the original dialog software are not yet
coded though, and it requires to have a modified version of PHP 5
(CLI).

If you are interested in, dialog is available in the CVS [1] and also the
script for modifying PHP [2]. The script mostly installs the required
packages and modifies two PHP files [2].
