hacking an ElBa boot process.

Does anyone on the list use a BrailleEx Elba from papenmeier?  I would 
like to alter the boot process so that it doesn't boot to the silly 
command center.  I'd rather it just boot to a shell prompt but am not 
really sure how to do that and could use some help.
