Hello Friends
My dualboot menu is now faulty.
I made a mistake while trying to use Joe to edit my menu.lst/grub.conf
file I either deleted part of the file or added some caracters.
Now when I start my computer I have only one option and that is 'win98' and
it will start to run once the timout has elaptsed. There should be a option
to go to Fedora 2 but that is gone.
At the top of the screen there is displayed:
gnr grub version....
Next line:
win98
On the screen there is a option to :
e- for edit
a - modify kernel before booting
c - command-line
If I press e for edit I find only the two last lines of my menu.lst file,
since I do have the menu.lst info should I enter it here?
Or can I type something at the command-lin option and restore the original
grub.conf file at
/etc/boot/grub ...
Or is there a program that I can use from win98 or dos to go and fix it?
I include a copy of my 'menu.lst' file below.
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,1)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda3
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=1
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Fedora Core (2.6.5-1.358spk)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.5-1.358spk ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.5-1.358spk.img
title Windows 98
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
I think I did enter something by mistake just after the 'title fedora' line.
Please help
Rinaldo.
