Oh, so Braille Lite uses the ymodem protocol?

ymodem tools are in the lszrz package. Just run

sz --ymodem < /dev/ttyS0 > /dev/ttyS0 thefile

for sending, and

rz --ymodem < /dev/ttyS0 > /dev/ttyS0 thefile

for receiving.
