problem, gnopernicus does not talk every time gnome starts.

You do hae to go into applications then preferences then enable assistive 
technology mode then enable blindness.  Once done if all of that hadn't 
yet been done gnopernicus should start up consistently.  Oh, the other 
thing is you have to do all of that as root so it's enabled for the whole 
system.
