orca help please

Hello!

Ok, now I've installed the libglib packages, and configure runs fine.
it just says that no suitable brlapi version is installed.

so I run make.
andit goes throguh all directories sayng that nothing needs to be done.
so then I run make install
and it gets me a bunch of errors when typing orca. something about typerr, 
and traceback, and a lot of junk messages. what is happening?
is there any debian installation page somewhere?
