Orca talking to BRLTTY problems.

Hi All.

I'm sorry to be bombarding you all with questions but hopefully once my
systems setup I can be getting on with learning Linux rather than
fighting with access tech.

I'm still having problems with BRLTTY.
I've now managed to get a Focus display and have it working in the
console with BRLTTY. My understanding is that BRLTTY can be used to show
what's on a console window but also can be driven from a screen reader
like Orca.

I'm using the Speakup modified distribution which seems to come with
BRLTTY 3.7.2. When in Gnome with orca running all I can see on the
Braille display is "Screen Not In Text Mode". I'm making the assumption
that Orca isn't able to talk to BRLTTY.

The steps I'm using to start are:
1. boot the laptop.
2. log in as root.
3. hit alt f2
4. type in "brltty"
5. the Braille display shows "BRLTTY 3.7.2" and then "Screen not in text
mode"
6. hit alt F2.
7. type in "orca"

Orca starts talking but the Braille display isn't updated.

Any ideas?
Cheers.
Nick.
