accessing my linux box via telnet

The only thing I ever found that works with JFW as far as telnet or anything
like that is Monkeyterm. I know it's a mud client and it won't do ssh. The
rest I've tried seem to repeat earlier lines of text once the screen fills,
even hyper terminal in monitor mode with the scripts they have for it.
