Hi Daniel, Sane is what you'll need to get the image from your scanner to use with OCR software. As for OCR solutions, there are several out there. One place to look to find out what there is is an article at http://groundstate.ca/ocr It's almost a year old now so some of the info is doubtless out of date, but it's a good survey IMHO of the software available.
