[orca-list] vibuntu won't boot up the live cd

ok
so maybe there's something wrong with ubuntu8.10? so do we gotta wait until 
ubuntu9 comes out to try again? in the meantime, are there any accessible 
linux distributions that will write to ntfs file systems?
grml won't work on here either. only oralux will so far.
