Ubuntu and Speakup again

Hi Tony,

sorry, meant to answer your other message but haven't had a chance to do 
so.

As far as I know, and I'm not an expert, there is a Speakup kernel 
available in Ubuntu Feisty (7.04) but not in Gutsy (7.10).  Don't know if 
it's possible to boot a CD with a Speakup kernel though.  I do know the 
text install is on the 2nd or alternate boot image but don't know of any 
speakup support in it.
