RSS readers and podcatchers

Well I only know about podcasts...
I used hpodder and that worked well with speakup.

Once I had it all setup all I needed to do was
hpodder update

and the new podcasts came in.

apt-get install hpodder

Then read the man page to find out how to add feeds.
Actually I googled for info because back then I didn't really like man 
pages.

Or you could just do
apt-cache search podcast

I did that and that is how I found hpodder...
