bad rsync ubuntu download

You're running md5sum -c on the wrong file!
You need to run it on the file that contains the checksums, whatever its
name may happen to be.
Don't run md5sum -c on the image itself.
E.G., md5sum -c lucid-desktop-i386.iso.md5
