Since jaws is so expensive, I cant afford it, but you can download mIRC and
copy the entire file to your mirc folder then set up the speech agent, then
go to help and find the play command, set a play command for the file with
the milliseconds delay to suit your taste, then you can play any text to be
read aloud in mirc,

Another way is to tape record the selected sections of the cookbook, and
then play them back to yourself as you try the stuff.  It's my way.  I
just set Jaws really slow so I can follow the audio, without having to
