I found a page that hinted to have blinux included in sles 10 but do you know if it is included at all regardless of if it'll work?

I don't know, but I think it should work.
It worked with suse linux 7.2 with my alva abt 340 I had some years ago. I wish I had a such display today, it was the first display I ever used, I liked it very much.

Hello!
Ok, you don't have any problem. but suse blinux(the screen reader that comes with suse) should autodetect serial displays, I've read that they support all alva models.
I had an alva long time ago.
So just boot your system, and you should have braille.
Good luck.

I'd appreciate any new replies because I'm wondering the same thing. I will be installing suse enterprise linux server and read there is blinux support and am renting a an alva 544 serial display, but I haven't tested. I've inquired about this several times and have gotten 0 replies each time.
Thanks
Cody

Hello!
Is it possible to install open suse with brltty?
I mean, can I modify the installa tion dvd like fedora, So I don't need to use suse-blinux? that screen reader has no support for usb displays
