Broke yum

Hi,
I have no clue what I might have done, but yum terminates with an error: 
Import error: n module named grabber. I have created a .pth file in my 
Python site-packages directory containing the name urlgrabber, and I can 
import grabber from the python command line.

Could anyone suggest a cure for this? I have uninstalled and re-installed 
both yum, python and urlgrabber, with no luck.
