Reading DVD Contents?

Hi,

I am also interested in some higher-level presentation of the menus, 
available subtitle languages, audio languages if available, etc. There is 
something I think is called libdvdread or something that mplayer can use 
but I have not manage to activate a nice ncurses-like interface.
