An External Lynx Mystery?

tcsh and bash are not identical and these differences could be the cause 
for this mystery.  I'd move onto another shell choice after downloading 
necessary packages with chsh as root for whichever user account will be 
doing this streaming and check it out.  Bash at least is known to work.  
Have you tried zsh yet?
Documenting your findings via the internet isn't wasted work either.
