Hi,

One thing that works for me is to enable the framebuffer in your grub config file, and then use the x framebuffer driver for graphics output. Just install the x framebuffer driver (on arch it's called xf86-video-fbdev, probably something simuler on other systems) and make sure your "actual" graphics driver is uninstalled and it should stop moning about the screen.
