Hi,
to start bash running and play with it just type this:  /bin/bash
It may well already be running. I think it is the normal default usually.


Most linuxes have a terminal setting set to 'linux' and that usually works best.
There are many kinds of linux now, and exact setup proceedures vary a bit.

When you send in questions it is good to say what kind of computer
and what brand of linux you are using.
