vlc and merlin's apprentice dvd status

First the dvd set I got from Wal-Mart is not bootlegged.  Windows can't 
play it and neither can Linux at least with vlc, but I am listening to the 
movie on an old dvd player connected to my tv and radio now as I write 
this message.  The error reports sent in against vlc as a result of the 
windows crashes are valid in this case.  I have other dvd's and will try 
those in time to see if any will play properly in linux vlc.
