what software used for ocr on linux

Thanks Dough, I just installed ocrfeeder  and noticed an ocrfeeder-cli, so will 
certainly wanna try these. Would their be any benefits in running any scanning 
engine in something like xvfb or xvfb-run?
By the way, here is a sumary of what was installed:
