Live CD silence, (was RE: new debian 7 install and speakup issues)

One limitation with debian is it cannot use usb speakers for 
accessibility work.  With archlinux, that's a different story even on 64 
bit systems.  Archlinux uses both whicher you plug into.  Now you 
like me also have a stinky intel sound card in that 64 bit machine which 
is not multi-channel architecture in which case you're going to have 
problems with pulseaudio.  If you can find one replace that sound card 
with an ensonicq 1370 and disable the intel sound card through the bios 
on the machine and enable the ensonicq and you may have better results.
